VA2K is our annual walk/run/roll in support of homeless Veterans. Normally large groups participate in the VA2K at our health care facilities, but this year’s VA2K has gone virtual. To make the most of it, there are even more ways to participate. Participants are invited as always to walk, run or roll their preferred distance (2K or 5K). Since the event is virtual this year, you get to choose the setting.
During the week of July 19, participate in the VA2K by taking a walk on the levee, a roll through the neighborhood or a run along your favorite trail. It all counts! Even better—use the opportunity to get your family members or pets out for some exercise.
In addition to promoting exercise, VA2K serves as a donation drive for homeless Veterans. Anyone wishing to make a donation can use the E-donation link at www.neworleans.va.gov/giving
The VA2K is a great opportunity to connect with friends and family in a shared activity. Once you complete your walk, run or roll, challenge your friends or post to social media to get others involved. That way, everyone wins!
