Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System
Drive-thru flu shots for Veterans this week
September 27, 2017
NEW ORLEANS – Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) will host a drive thru flu shot clinic this week at the new Veterans medical center at the Galvez Street entrance.
The drive thru will take place Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., as well as Saturday Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 from 8 to 12.
SLVHCS will also offer the drive thru flu clinic at its Baton Rouge South outpatient clinic in the parking lot at 7850 Anselmo Lane this Saturday and next from 8 a.m. to noon.
“We want to make it very convenient for busy Veterans to receive their flu shots this year,” said SLVHCS Director Fernando O. Rivera, FACHE. “These drive thru clinics offer a quick and easy way to stay healthy this flu season, with no appointment necessary.”
Veterans must have a valid VA ID card to use this free service. The flu shot is the best way to prevent getting the flu this season. Protect yourself and your family.
