VA hosts town hall meeting for Veterans - NEW ORLEANS – The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a town hall meeting at 6 p.m., Jan. 29 at the Lake Vista Community Center, 6500 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana. The event will be a joint town hall with the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System and Veterans Benefits Administration. "This meeting will give local Veterans, their families and others an opportunity to meet with local VA leaders, learn about VA benefits and health care, and most importantly give us feedback," said Fernando Rivera, newly appointed Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System director. Input from Congressional stakeholders, Veteran service organizations, non-governmental organizations and other community partners is welcome. "We received valuable feedback from Veterans at our last town hall, and are looking forward to this next opportunity to hear from those we serve," said Mark Bologna, Director of the VA New Orleans Regional Office. "I am especially excited to be doing this in partnership with VHA; we work very closely together on a daily basis so it only makes sense to reach out to our community of Veterans together."
